Cometeer Coffee

Unsolicited plug: I was recommended Cometeer coffee a few years ago and tried it for first time recently. *By far* the best taste to prep work ratio of any coffee ever prepared in our kitchen.

Keurig Hyperchiller

Unsolicited plug: if you enjoy iced drinks, particularly tea/coffee at home (though I suppose it works for alcohol as well), Keurig Hyperchiller at $20 is my favorite QOL improvement in a while. It’s “just” a plastic jug with two metal cups.

Daylight Computer DC-1

Daylight Computer. The Kindle Amazon never made. If it were maybe 30% smaller/lighter it would be perfect. It is *unreal* how much it feels like reading paper, even though the paper now e.g. scrolls Twitter or plays videos.

Kindle

The Kindle is a substitute for paper, via eInk. It's the best available way to buy books, a somewhat mediocre reading experience which acts like an inferior substitute for paper, and an absolutely gobsmackingly frustrating software/hardware artifact to use. I love mine to death.

BEBANG Compound Microscope

BEBANG compound microscope cost ~$70 and is fit for purpose where purpose is “Engage the world with sense of wonder.”

Elegoo Saturn 2

I print 95% of models myself. Elegoo Saturn 2 printer, either Elegoo water washable resins, Atlas tabletop resin, or Ekimate (tough to get ex-Japan). Learned most know-how on YouTube.
